I believe that a child's education is not complete unless it includes performing arts. Learning to play an instrument teaches problem-solving, creativity, teamwork, collaboration, communication, and critical thinking skills in a fun and unique way. My purpose is not to create professional musicians, but rather to create good citizens who love music. I strive everyday to make my classroom a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for all students at Pine Mountain. One of my greatest joys is seeing former students succeed at whatever they choose to do. When you join my orchestra, you are one of "my kids" for life.
